The Raid is not your regular action movie. I have watched quite a few Japanese, Chinese, Korean action movies, they are known for their grace and elegance. But not this World renowned Indonesian movie. It shows you brutal and ugly hand to hand combat scenes one after another, that you yourself like the protagonist are out of breath. Would not recommend to people with weak stomach, but to all else do watch the movie once. Not very rewatchable unless you are really into hand to hand combat scenes. But it is a movie you will get recommended a lot, so lets get it done with.

Fight Club
Well, Fight Club is a classic all time best movie. If you are among the lucky few who hasn’t already seen this movie, just watch it. Don’t google it or talk to anybody about it, nothing. Just watch it. I’m sure many of us watch to re-watch it like its the first time again.
Transcendence
Transcendence is a good movie. It has a great concept, life after death by transferring your consciousness into an AI and then the AI does much more. Such a brilliant concept, but the movie felt a bit straightforward. Visuals, music, cast everything is great, just the story could have been much better. Nevertheless, Transcendence is a good watch. I have watched it a couple of times now, might watch it again after a few months.
Liar Liar
1997 ‧ Comedy/Fantasy ‧ 1h 27m Well sometimes you just need to kickback and enjoy a Jim Carrey classic. Liar Liar is a 90s classic movie that can be re-watched quite often. Jim Carrey proceeding to act like Jim Carrey best sums up the movie.

Death Note
2006 ‧ Mystery/ Thriller ‧ 37 episodes Start watching at your own risk, as you want not be able to stop watching. I don’t usually binge watch animes or tv series, but Death Note is among the few that I have watched non stop and completed in just 1 or 2 sittings. perhaps the only anime/tv series/ movie that I have sacrificed my sleep for, watching it overnight. This captivating thriller is well worth for repeat viewing too.
Groundhog Day
1993 ‧ Comedy/Romance ‧ 1h 41m Groundhog day is my all time favorite feel good movie. Its actually a pretty inspiring movie. Living the same day over and over is done by a handful of movies now, but for most of the movies it usually revolves around a life or death situation or getting the girl. This movie also tries to be about getting the girl initially, but that’s not what the movie is about, and ends with the simplest and best ending. Quite rewatchable actually! would recommend watching once…

The Big Short
2015 ‧ Drama/Comedy-drama ‧ 2h 10m The Big Short is a dramatized biopic based off the 2008 Global Financial crisis. As a finance enthusiast I know the real story behind the crisis, hence I really liked the film. There are many other films based off the 2008 real estate crisis, but none of them are as stylized as this one, with A-list actors like Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, Steve Carell & Ryan Gosling. With big Cameos from celebrities, taking a break from the flow of the movie and actually explaining…
Predestination
2014 ‧ Sci-fi/Action ‧ 1h 37m A movie filled with so many spoilers, would recommend not even watching the trailer, and felt cheated even reading the description of the trailer. Just trust me and take a leap of faith. This under-rated movie was never recommended to me by anyone. And was put off by me twice, once after skipping through the movie and not seeing anything special and the 2nd time watching the movie and getting bored after 10mins, as I couldn’t even understand what genre of movie I was…
